Both the outer and inner covers can be hand-washed. To wash the inner cover, which contains the buckwheat, you must first empty its contents into a larger container. Hand wash cold and air dry only.

The cushion is also firm enough to serve as a yoga block for some poses. The cotton cover is fully removable with a zipper, and the buckwheat hulls are sealed in a separate bag.
